Watchdog: Meta new net Threads can work in Russia if follows rules

MOSCOW, Jul 6 (PRIME) -- New social network Threads of Meta, which is banned in Russia as extremist, will be able to work in the country if it respects law, a representative of the communications service told PRIME on Thursday.

“Under the law, the Internet platforms that Russians users visit must quickly delete socially dangerous content and counter expansion of destructive materials. The social networks must have a feedback form to get complaints from the users,” the representative said.

Threads is available for downloading in App Store and Google Play to “share ideas and trends via texts.”
